Welcome to authentic, North Indian cuisine in the heart of Manchester
Located under the depths of Albert Square, our award winning Indian Restaurant has been cooking pure North Indian food since 1966
We have been running our family run restaurant since 1966 – before the smoking ban and the last time England won the world cup! We have stood the test of time by not cheating the customer with tiny portions and cheap quality ingredients. We’ve kept our promise to only deliver authentic real Indian cuisine in an ambient setting.
On the right we have an original receipt from 1976 that a loyal customer brought in. The good old days when roti’s were 20p and a curry was £1.25!
Our most popular dish: MACHAN CHICKEN
There are two kinds of people in the world, those who love Mackhan chicken and those who have never tasted it…
The beauty of Mackhan Chicken lies in the subtle tanginess and velvety texture. Our regular customers who have been coming since the 70’s swears by this dish and for the most, is the only go to curry when then join us again and again. Our secret recipe of tomato, butter, cream and cinnamon immersed with tandoori chicken breast make sit a perfect unique curry.
We’ve done it again!
Another proud achievement for Rajdoot Tandoori! High standards of hygiene and cleanliness is at the forefront of our business and we want our customers to be proud of that too. The FSA has given us the top score of 5 in food hygiene rating.
